Goal

Improve the experience of the blackjack game to entice players to stay longer and have more fun. The longer players stay, the more fun they have, the more money the casino will make. The expectation is improvement to hold per player while delivering a more enjoyable experience.

The Story

At every blackjack table you hear some variation of “you took my double down card”…”you took the the dealers bust card”…”don’t hit that”…the result of these stories is the same…new players get intimidated and leave or other players get frustrated and leave. Bad outcomes for both the players and the casino.

The Solution

OptionBlackjack provides a secondary shoe that a player can choose when making a decision to take another card. This gives the player(s) a choice in their destiny. 

When players stay longer, the casino makes more money. When players are presented with choices that don’t appear to create negative outcomes for others  by taking a card from the secondary shoe (like hitting 13 when dealer has a 4 showing) we expect that hold per player will increase even though there is no probability change in house edge.
