The Game
OptionBlackjack is the newest casino card game sweeping the nation! And the best part, if you know how to play traditional blackjack, then you already know how to play OptionBlackjack. Everything is the same; from the rules to the payouts. So what’s the difference? In OptionBlackjack, when it’s your turn to decide on your hand, you now have an option. You get to choose where your next card comes from. Wait…What?
The game is played with 6 or 8 decks, all shuffled together until random, just like they are now. Then, instead of placing all the cards into one shoe, the dealer will peel off about 20% of the total cards. 80% of the cards will be placed in the main shoe, and the other 20% will be placed into the auxiliary shoe. The shoes are stacked and you are ready to go.
The Process
The dealer begins the deal, giving each player their first two cards from the main shoe. In turn, each player will get to choose from which shoe they want any additional cards, whether it be hits, splits, or double downs. There are colored markings to each side of a players betting circle in which to indicate the player’s preference. Hand signals are a must! Once chosen, all additional player cards will come from that shoe as to not complicate the dealers. All dealer cards will come from the main shoe. That’s it!
Not the same
No more being stuck in the path of fate alone. If things aren’t going your way, take a card from the auxiliary shoe. If the player in front of you takes YOUR ten on a “stupid hit” maybe the auxiliary shoe will have another ten waiting for you. Destiny is in your hands! But I warn you, once you play OptionBlackjack, you’ll never want to play traditional blackjack again.
